Meet the Team

Preschool staff

As a charity-based setting, we have a small team of qualified staff working alongside a Committee of parent Trustees to run the Preschool.

Sarah

Manager

Level 7

Sarah joined our preschool family in December 2023 as our deputy manager.

She has worked in childcare for a number of years. Sarah is passionate about outdoor and child-led learning. Sarah's favourite thing about working with Preschoolers is their interest and enthusiasm for learning about the world they live in.

In her spare time, Sarah loves arts and crafts, and baking.

Caroline

Senior Preschool Practitioner

Level 3

Caroline has been working at Hauxton Preschool for 20 years! She has cared for young children as a Private Nanny and in Day Nurseries since she left school. Caroline's favourite thing about working with young children is progress across their time at Preschool and seeing them ready for 'big school'.

In her spare time, Caroline enjoys long dog walks with her friends.

12 hour Paediatric First Aid, Basic Child Protection, Prevent Duty

Steph

Preschool Practitioner

Level 2

Steph has been working at Hauxton Preschool since 2021 after her youngest child transitioned to 'big school'. Steph's favourite task when working with children is creating exciting and engaging activities!

In her spare time, Steph enjoys baking and sewing!

Basic Child Protection, 12 hour Paediatric First Aid, Prevent Duty

Kelly

Preschool Practitioner

Level 3

Kelly joined the team in 2021 as a 1:1 after previously working in Day Nurseries. Kelly's favourite thing about working with young children is the fact no two days are the same.

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys keeping fit and spending time with her family.

Basic Child Protection, Autism Awareness, 12 hour Paediatric First Aid, Manual Handling

Debbie

Preschool Practitioner (Bank Staff)

Level 3

Debbie worked at Hauxton Preschool for many years as the Preschool Manager before retiring from the role to enjoy more time with her family. Debbie enjoys helping the children achieve tasks and joining them in their play.

In her spare time, Debbie enjoys catch-ups with her friends and spending time with her Grandson.

Committee

Kayleigh Delacey

Chairperson

The Chairperson is responsible for hosting Committee meetings and organising fundraising events and working directly with the Preschool Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the setting.

Richard Geyman

Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for managing the Preschool's finances and accounts. They attend Committee meetings and work closely with the Chairperson.

Katie Buhecha

Trustee

Trustees work closely with the Chair and Treasurer and attend Committee members to voice their opinions and ensure the Preschool is running smoothly.
